Peak Hour started as a crew of friends who believed great music could transform any room. Eight years later, we're Portland's most trusted DJ collective — 6 professionals strong, with hundreds of unforgettable events behind us.
How We Got Here
It started in 2018 with a single wedding in the Willamette Valley and a borrowed sound system. Our founder DJ Lewis had been DJing clubs and private events for years, but that night — watching a room full of strangers become a family on the dance floor — something clicked.
We built Peak Hour on a simple idea: every event deserves a DJ who actually cares. Not someone running through a playlist, but someone reading the room, feeling the energy, and knowing exactly when to drop the song that makes everyone lose it.
Today we're a collective of 6 professional DJs, each with their own specialty and style. We cover weddings, corporate events, private parties, and now officiant services — all across the Pacific Northwest.

Founder, DJ & officiant
DJ Lewis founded Peak Hour DJs after 8 years of working for other Portland and Seattle Mobile DJ Crews. His specialty is weddings — specifically the moment the dance floor goes from polite to electric. He is a record label owner, marketing consultant and officiant.
Sierra
Senior DJ & Officiant
Sierra brings a rare combination of DJ skills and licensed officiant credentials. She's the go-to for couples who want a seamlessly integrated ceremony and reception experience with a funky feminine touch.
Cole
DJ & Sound Engineer
Cole's background in live sound engineering means your event will sound incredible in any venue — from intimate vineyard barns to 500-person high school gymnasiums.
Shawna
DJ & Event Coordinator
Shawna's dual role as DJ and event coordinator makes her invaluable for complex events. She keeps the timeline, the energy, and the crowd all moving in the right direction. When they are not spinning, Shawna helps with photo and video work.
